SPRING RECRUITMENT

What is Spring Rush?

Spring Rush is a shorter and smaller recruitment process hosted by IFC during the spring semester. It is designed for transfer students, students who missed the opportunity to rush in the fall, or students who did not receive a bid during fall recruitment. While IFC encourages all 13 chapters to participate, Spring Rush is not mandatory for every chapter and may vary based on each chapter’s available spots.

What's the process?

While Fall Recruitment is the larger and more structured IFC recruitment process, Spring Rush is a unique opportunity for students to still join the IFC community without waiting until the next fall and does not require a registration fee. Not every chapter participates, since many chapters fill their new member classes in the fall, but on average around four chapters actively recruit and extend bids during the spring semester. Spring Rush usually begins around the last week of January or the first week of February and is much less formal than fall recruitment. The process is largely based on each chapter’s availability and membership needs, so interested students are encouraged to reach out directly to chapter recruitment chairs to express interest and learn more.
